EnSolv proves popular at Surface World Show
ENVIRO Tech Europe Limited were delighted by the quality of enquirers visiting their stand at Surface World Show. Almost without exception the desire of visitors was to replace the Carcinogen Trichloroethylene (Trike) for vapour degreasing. A good deal of complaint was voiced at the lack of clarity given by health and safety enforcers, raising the perception that Trike was not receiving the urgent attention it demanded.
At best companies felt there was confusion caused by those who were responsible to ensure early substitution.
Reporting on the event Derek Carpenter of ETE said "Its never easy to predict the value of exhibitions in advance but even our most positive expectations were exceeded. Vapour degreasing is still clearly the popular choice for component cleaning and meeting people gives the most accurate feedback of how we can support people. EnSolv stole the show"

EnSolv Chemistry Gains SNAP Approval
The Environmental Protection Agency in the United States Of America has finalised its ruling on n.Propyl Bromide (n.PB). It has confirmed it is acceptable under the Significant New Altenative Program (SNAP) after stringent assessment.
On May 30, the Federal Register published EPA's rules on n-propyl bromide (nPB), available at www.epa.gov/ozone/snap/solvents/2007nPBRegsQA.html

substitute for methyl chloroform and CFC-113 in the solvent cleaning
sector (metals, precision, and electronics cleaning).
This is excellent news for users of vapour degreasing solvents as EnSolv, the leading n.Propyl Bromide brand, is the most popular replacement for Trichloroethylene.
Guidance on vapour degreasing and a free DVD comparing solvent safety is available from Enviro Tech.
